A New Family Member!

In My Life on Thursday, February 17, 2005 at 2:30 AM

Just a day before the Chinese New Year, my family welcomed a new member; that was my elder sister’s fourth son. Everyone of us was so glad & excited to have another cute boy in the family… Weighing 4.6 kg at birth, he was the largest baby ever born at the hospital, Visalsok. Everyone was amazed as he is just as big as a one-month old.

I can say he is just a really great gift for this New Year! :p

Vu’s Visit

In My Life on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at 8:48 AM

Last week, this naughty VN friend unexpectedly emailed me that he was visiting Cambodia for this Chinese New Year Holiday… Wow! I was so surprised and happy as it has been 2 years since we last met in Vietnam. Though he was just a local youth when SSEAYP arrived there in 2002, he was the most popular guy among us, SSEAYP people, thanks to his outgoing, talkative and friendly personality.. He is cool in terms of everything, not to mention his email address (coolguyinvn@yxxxx.com.) and his MCing and interpretation skills… :p

Well, taking ppl around has always been my hobby.. (cos it involves travelling, of course!) Though he was in PP just for one night, I managed to take him to a bunch of places.. He really enjoyed himself, especially his GAP shopping at Russian Market.. He just shopped until his bus was about to leave w/out him.. Spend longer here next time if u wanna shop more, k? There are many cool places to go.. Come back here soon, cool guy!

The Magnificent Royal Palace of Cambodia!

In My Life on Monday, February 14, 2005 at 9:45 PM

A visit to Cambodia will be incomplete w/out a visit to Angkor Wat, and so will a visit to Phnom Penh w/out a stop at one of its most important landmarks, the Royal Palace.

Built in 1860 by HM King Norodom, the Royal Palace is not only a home of the King but also of Cambodia’s cultural wonders, ranging from the breathtaking Khmer style temples to the 1,250 diamond embedded gold Buddhisatva statues in the 1,673 silver tiled temple of the Emerald Buddha.

Well, sound so amazing, right? Don’t believe me yet! Seeing is believing! Let’s scroll down to see how special this place is! ;)
