For many, spending 16 hours in an airport would definitely be a nightmare. Raking one’s mind would be questions such as, “What the heck am I gonna do?”. A quick brainstorm will bring you not many activities, other than either duty free shopping, sleeping, eating, reading, or listening to your iPod.
The above thoughts were what I had in mind before the layover. I was extremely anxious as I could not book a dayroom, and a friend who had promised to host me suddenly bailed out at the last minute. This meant I would have to fall asleep in chairs while, at the same time, trying to hold on to my carry-on luggage. In addition, what was I going to do to kill time for 16 hours? I was very sure I was gonna be bored to death.
These worries quickly went away shortly after I had landed. It all began with the warm and friendly smiles of the staff, who were ready to provide me with almost any sots of assistance I needed. I soon realized that Changi wasn’t a bad place at all. In all fairness, it had almost everything that a traveller dreams of. I bet it can keep me entertained for two days.
So what is special about this Singaporean airport? Don’t just wonder. Scroll down and see it for yourself.

To begin with, Changi is a garden airport. You can find fountains and little gardens in almost all corners of the terminals.
Free movie theaters. Though not showing the latest movies, this lounge clearly helps movie addicts like myself a lot.

Free foot and body massage chairs. This is what I like best about the airport. Where else can you get anything close to these?

Free high speed internet. Dotting throughout the airport, this was exactly where I did my blogging, Facebooking and skyping. Ain’t it cool?

Shopping Paradise. Changi is not only an airport but also a shopping mall in itself. Shop till you drop in Changi.

Last but not least, what’s more exciting is that you get to play XBox 360 for free. No wonder it was voted one of the best airports in the world.
