Today the infamous Thai reader Tavorn Kamboonreang came back with a 360-degree change in attitude and with a comment as follows.
Well, please know that I have been spending time studying and consulting Thai Buddhist monks. I also finally read every word in this blog and categorized opinions, facts, and feelings in my bio-computer (brain, heart, and body) so that I can pull them out for my writings and daily actions. Thanks everyone especially Thailandharatage and Khmerthug4life, for educating with knowledge, wisdom, and compassion. Feel like you both may have been the angels in disguise. I appreciate all of you for spending your precious time to help improve international communication and unite us as one big human family. Please remember that, “To Err is Human, To Forgive is Divine”. So it is the “Small World After All”. Let’s pray for our people who are suffering from Khao Pra Vihan or Preah Vihear confrontation together . Long live Khmer Civilization, Long Live Thailand, and last but not least, Long Live Cambodia!
I hope this change is genuine – which will thus mean that everyone’s comments over the past few days had been effective. Bravo!!!

Impressive, Mongkol, and congratulations to both you and Tavorn. Admitting your mistakes and apologizing for them is one of the most mature – and difficult – things that any of us can do. I’m heartened.
Unbelieveable??? Is it true, huh? Is it a change or some kind of what?
seriously, i don’t want to see any fighting, any war from or among any side. yesterday the thai villagers fight with the thai protesters, and last night(?) soldiers of both side pointing weapon at each other; war almost broke out.
My grandparents and parents have suffered because of war and fighting. I don’t see it myself. I don’t want war to become a tradition.
To the Khmer: try to learn and understand the others. After all, they are just human beigs like you; they have all the feeling that you have. Respect others and respect yourselves.
To the Thai: I believe there are a lot you who know that there are problems with your historical materials using in school. Don’t afraid to come and share those problems with your fellow thais and suggest any changes. don’t afraid of being called “a traitor”; you know you’re not. and again, try to learn and understand the others. Respect others and respect yourselves.
PEACE to the world.
Great everything (well, almost) is sorted out. Bravo!!
Ha… Nothing is greater than a person who is willing to change for the better. If this was a genuine change, I salute you.
