Cambodia’s longest running English-language newspaper, the Phnom Penh Post is now daily. Surprisingly, its price is now down to KHR 2,500 per copy from previously KHR 4,000, despite being 100% color. Readers can also access the PDF version of the paper from its website, simply by signing a free membership. I hope the paper will keep this free service available always. That’ll be a really awesome way for me to catch up with news at home!
Kudos to the Post team for the innovation!

It’s very interesting to see the rise of print media in Asia and its decline in the west. As developed countries are more connected, the trend of people to read news online and how technology can give a more interactive and personalized news are just amazing.
I’m also looking forward to see, if it were happen, The Cambodia bounces back. Before long, there is only one English-language, daily newspaper in town. Today, we can see at least two long-time established newspapers are head to head to for both readership and ads revenue.

Did you mean the PDF versions are free? I don’t think it was clearly stated in its website.

The new PPP daily is definitely more substantial than the Cambodia Daily!

@ Bob: You just need to sign up for a membership first. At least for now, it’s free of charge. When you sign in, look out for “My Post” on the top menu bar and click on “PDF files” to download the recent issues. Let me know if you have any other questions.
@ Phal: My pleasure.
@ Alvin: Definitely. It’s a lot more original and interesting – full of varieties.

The Phnom Penh Post is definitely making big leaps! – now all that is needed is an improvement in their content.
